CLERK AND RECORDERS OFFICE – MOTOR VEHICLE SERVICE UPDATE
**Updated March 31, 2021
The Telluride Motor Vehicle office will re-open for in person/walk in service on April 1, 2021. Access to the Motor Vehicle office will be at the WEST side of the Courthouse (via the courtyard where the Galloping Goose train used to be). We will no longer be scheduling appointments for the Telluride office.
While we are excited to provide our service in person and on a walk in basis, we will continue to limit the number of people allowed in the building. As such, we have a limit of 3 customers waiting for service in the building. All others will be instructed to wait outside. All customers MUST wear a mask while in the building.
Many of our Motor Vehicle services are available online. We encourage you to process your transactions online whenever appropriate and possible in order to help us limit our in person lines and wait time.
Online services are available at www.mydmv.colorado.gov
Services available online are as follows:
- First time Registration- (If you have received a “Title Complete Notice” from our office you can request your plates and registration online)
- License Plate registration Renewal
- Duplicate Title requests
- Duplicate Registration
- Add/change mailing address
- Replace tabs
- Transaction receipts
Our payment drop box will continue to be available and checked continuously throughout each business day. The drop box is located on the WEST side of the main Courthouse front stairwell. When utilizing the drop box, please include your contact information with your documents/payment.
