SAN MIGUEL COUNTY CLERK AND RECORDER MOTOR VEHICLE SERVICES DURING COVID-19

Both the San Miguel County Courthouse and the Glockson building remain closed to in-person traffic. All in-person motor vehicle transactions will be by appointment at our exterior window service (west side of the courthouse in the Galloping Goose park) in Telluride. Norwood offices will allow in person transactions in the building. Please wear masks at both locations.
The Telluride Motor Vehicle office is staffed and appointments are available M-F from 8:15am-5:30pm
The Norwood Motor Vehicle office is staffed and appointments are available Tuesday and Thursday from 8:15am-5:30pm.
All license plate renewals should be processed via mail or online at mydmv.colorado.gov. If mailing a payment, please include your renewal notice, your license plate #, or VIN number along with payment. Please allow additional time for processing by mail.
Renewals can be dropped off during business hours at the Telluride office. A drop box is located in our exterior window on the west side of the courthouse. Include payment by check, your renewal notice, and copy of insurance in an enclosed envelope. Your registration and tabs will be mailed to you within 24 hours in most cases.

OUT OF STATE TITLE TRANSFERS, COLORADO TITLE TRANSFERS, FIRST TIME REGISTRATION, PERSONS WITH DISABILITY PARKING PLACARDS, AND MANUFACTURED HOME TITLE TRANSFERS WILL ALL REQUIRE AN APPOINTMENT
