SAN MIGUEL COUNTY RECORDING OFFICE SERVICE UPDATE

Updated March 31, 2021

The recording office will re-open for in person service beginning April 1, 2021. Access to the Recording office will be via the WEST side courthouse entrance only (via the courtyard where the galloping goose train used to be). All customers must wear a mask while inside the building.

While we are excited to be able to allow in person transactions, we still encourage you to help us limit the traffic in our office by making use of our Drop Box and US Mail when appropriate and possible.

The drop box is located on the west side of the main stairwell at 305 W Colorado Ave. (San Miguel County Courthouse).

Real Property records are available online at www.thecountyrecorder.com and are available for purchase via that website.  Documents from 1975 to current are available.
