Parks & Open Space
The Parks & Open Space Program manages several program areas including county fairgrounds, parks, trails, open space and historic preservation. The vegetation control program is also funded in part by the Parks & Open Space Program.
See the Pollinator Garden web page for more information about this project taking place in the Down Valley Park.

Annual Turkey Trot
Unfortunately, due to public health concerns, the County's Annual Turkey Trot has been cancelled this year (2020). The Parks and Open Space Department has been working with the Public Health Department and due to the recent uptick in COVID cases, an in-person event is not recommended this year. We look forward to hosting our Annual Turkey Trot again next year on Thanksgiving morning in 2021.
In the meantime, we encourage everyone to walk or run a 5K this Thanksgiving at their own pace and wherever they feel comfortable doing it.
