(May 22, 2021) San Miguel County Public Health recognized an error in vaccine administration for two recipients between the ages of 12 and 17 during yesterday’s vaccine clinic in Telluride.
The two recipients were registered to receive a Pfizer vaccine but mistakenly received a dose of Moderna. The recipients were notified immediately by Public Health and precautionary measures have been discussed. Processes were immediately adjusted to avoid the potential of further error and there is no cause for concern for other recipients at this time.
