San Miguel County Public Health Expands Vaccination Opportunities

(November 4, 2021) – With boosters and pediatric vaccines available, San Miguel County Public Health will expand vaccination opportunities throughout November with the help of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE).

“November 18 marks the last day to receive a first dose of Pfizer in order to be fully vaccinated by the Christmas holiday,” said Public Health Director Grace Franklin. “We hope to provide our community with ample opportunity to protect themselves leading into a heavy travel season. Vaccination also protects our loved ones who might bear more risk should they be infected with COVID.”

Public Health will ramp up testing and vaccination clinics beginning next week including additional opportunities to receive a flu vaccine. Registration links will be published as soon as they are available on the County COVID Webpage. Most notably, the CDPHE vaccine bus will return to Telluride and Norwood offering Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson and flu vaccines for all those eligible next week.
