County files limited motion for reconsideration

(January 5, 2023) – San Miguel County, CO --- San Miguel County has filed a Limited Motion for Reconsideration on the recent District Court ruling reversing the rezoning of a 39-acre portion of the 105-acre Diamond Ridge Property from Forestry-Agriculture-Open (F) to Community Housing (CH) approved by the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) in May 2022. The Diamond Ridge Property is jointly owned by San Miguel County and the Town of Telluride.

The sole issue for reconsideration is the Court’s determination that the rezoning of the Diamond Ridge Property is not reasonably consistent with the San Miguel County Comprehensive Development Plan; the County believes that the Court’s conclusion on this issue merits reconsideration under the rule.
