The San Miguel County Environmental Health Department will be at the county parking lot in Lawson Hill (next to Viking Rentals) on Friday, May 19th and Saturday, May 20th to collect electronic and hazardous household waste. The public is encouraged to drop off any electronic waste on Friday from noon until 4:00 pm, and both hazardous household waste and electronic waste on Saturday from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm. Hazardous waste includes expired medications (including pet), batteries, paint, stain, pesticide, etc. A more complete list can be found on the event flyer (link below). Small fees will apply, and they can be found in the fee schedules, also listed below.
The Town of Telluride will be collecting household and garden refuse on the same dates in the Carhenge parking lot. For information on the Telluride event, please see the flyer below, or contact Lita Bilotti at (970) 728-8415.
