[ARCHIVED] San Juan National Forest Stage 3 Fire Closure in Effect - GMUG Under Stage 2 Restrictions

The Norwood to Dolores Road and Ophir Pass from HWY 145 to HWY 550 will remain open during the forest closure. 

Access to inholdings will also be allowed during forest closure.  Information and authorization can be obtained at the Dolores Public Lands Office:

Updates and more information will be posted as it becomes available. Stage 2 Fire Restrictions are still in place for unincorporated San Miguel County, the Town of Mountain Village, BLM lands managed by the Tres Rios Field Office, and the Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forests. The Grand Mesa will remain at Stage 1 for the time being. Call GMUG Fire Information Line at (970) 874-6602 for up-to-date information on wildfire conditions and fire restrictions on National Forest Lands.
