San Miguel County and the Town of Telluride are hosting locations for safe disposal of electronic and hazardous waste, as well as appliances and other household refuse. The County Coroner will be accepting expired or obsolete human and pet medications at the hazardous waste disposal event.

San Miguel County's electronic waste event is May 20 - May 21, 9 am-3 pm, at the county parking lot at Lawson Hill. Call Nina at 970-369-5420. Hazardous waste will be accepted at the same location ONLY on Saturday, May 21. Call Chris at 970-369-5442.

On May 20-21, the Town of Telluride will accept appliances, scrap metal, tires, vehicle batteries and other household refuse near the Public Works facility on Black Bear Road. Disposal fees may apply. Call Lita at 970-728-8415. More info
