The closed section of the County's Idarado Legacy Trail has officially reopened after being buried with debris from the recent mudslide. There's still some work to be done along the stone wall and we're working with the HOA, a contractor, and will also mount a revegetation effort.
Signs are being posted now, which state "Caution - Rough Trail Ahead". We'll put down crusher fines in the spring just in case we're faced with another deluge of rain.
A big thanks to Tom Hannahs, Ryan Righetti, and the entire Road and Bridge crew for removing 117 truck loads of debris, which is equivalent to almost 3000 tons! The debris proved useful and was taken to the EPA site on the Valley Floor.
