CO 145 between Placerville and Norwood: Crews to perform chip seal paving project next week

SAN MIGUEL COUNTY ― The Colorado Department of Transportation will perform chip seal paving operations next week on CO Highway 145, between Placerville and Norwood, mile points 88-101. The four-day road maintenance operations will take place Monday to Thursday (August 23 to 26), from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Traffic Impacts

Motorists will be brought to a stop and allowed to proceed through the work zone via flagging operations and one-lane alternating traffic. Up to 20 minute delays are anticipated. A speed reduction of 40 MPH will be in place and drivers should slow down and use extreme caution when approaching and driving through the work zone. Motorists are urged to be aware of crews and heavy equipment. Motorists should also watch for bumps in the highway and drive slowly to avoid loose gravel being thrown up by tires.

Know Before You Go

Travelers are urged to “know before you go.” Gather information about weather forecasts, anticipated travel impacts, and current road conditions prior to hitting the road. CDOT resources include:
