6. The custodian of criminal justice records must consider and balance the public and private interests relevant to the inspection of each record request. In accordance with the Colorado Criminal Justice Records Act (CCJRA), CRS § 24-72-301 to 24-72-309, our agency allows for public inspection and production of records in the custody of our office, those of which are legally allowed within the provision of the above-referenced statutes. 

   FEES All records are available at a $33.38 per hour research fee; the first hour is free. There is no charge for records released electronically. Physical records are charged as follows: $5 for the first 15 pages, $.25 per page thereafter, and $20 for a flash drive.

   Criminal justice agencies do not have to fill out this form - submit a request for records via email directly to records@sanmiguelsheriff.org and you may call 970-728-4442.
